|
WELCOME TO THE MUSEUMS'
NEW EXHIBIT:
This is the first formal exhibit at the Museums’ Visitor Center. Joining the American
Mosaic is an exhibit about 19th century immigrants who came to this part of Kansas and
the early development of Hillsboro. The exhibit follows the lives, cultures, and heritages
of the two families represented in the two historic houses the Museums interpret.
Namely the Peter Paul Loewen family and the William F. Schaeffler family.
Joining the American Mosaic, was, in part, funded by a grant
from the Kansas Humanities Council.
The Kansas Humanities Council is a nonprofit cultural
organization promoting understanding of the history, traditions,
and ideas that shape our lives and build communities. The Kansas
Humanities Council receives federal funding.
